"Okay so once upon a time... there was a priestess, yeah, there was a priestess of Light- like, she worked in a temple and everything? Okay so like, she and other priestesses, they take care of the Light, because Light isn't what light is here- its like a living being, so priestesses in their temples take care of little bits of Light. They need to do this in order to fight off Darkness- now, the Dark doesn't have temples, doesn't have priestesses, it's just wild and these priestesses, they use the Light to keep it at bay, to control it and make sure it doesn't go crazy.

So one day, this priestess decided that she would finally fulfill her dream of being like a High Priestess of the temple she was in- because there's like a heirarchy and shit- so anyways, in order to be this High Priestess, she has to leave the temple, walk in the wild and find her inner Light- shut up it's my story- anyways, so she leaves, and she can't take any Light from the temple with her, so she doesn't become reliant on it, and the more she walks- she's in a forest- the more she walks the more tired she becomes and the day slowly turns into night and soon there's darkness around her.

But she's not used to this- usually the darkness stops like ways away from the temple of Light she stayed at, but this darkness was touching her and it was close, and she thought she was going to die so she prayed that the Light would come and save her, that a priestess would somehow find her, and as she prayed like, she was enveloped in a sort of warmth...

She opens her eyes to stare death in the face- but all she sees is like black. No light, no nothing, she isn't even sure her head's connected to the rest of her body because she can't see shit. But then the darkness ripples, and then she notices its like a cape, and then more darkness that shaped the sillouhette of a person, a person that made a slashing motion and divided the darkness. He freed her, and she looked up and she started to cry and thank him, and the dark figure turned, and as he moved, he started to like, ripple and the more she blinked away the tears the more light seemed to appear on him until finally, when she wiped the last tear away, she was staring into Space itself. It was like the guy wasn't even actually there, but he clearly was, and he clearly was brighter than he was earlier.

Looking at him made her dizzy because space, the stars inside him, it was like moving like stars do, and she couldn't- her mind couldn't- grasp it? Understand it. But yeah, she was thanking him, and asking him who he was and he tells her that he's the Guardian of the Dark, that she was about to unleash a lot of her Light to save herself and it would've harmed the Dark, so he helped the Dark run off first while he took the brunt of the damage, absorbing light into himself. She was like, 'what no, i couldn't have almost unleashed my inner Light- I was about to die, so thank you for saving me'. And he didn't really wanna start an argument so he accepted thanks and just said, 'you're welcome, but just remember that if you go around unleashing your inner light on the Dark to do it for the sake of maintaining it- not controlling it.' Basically he summarized with, 'do not harm my child'- wait what? what, yes i mean, no it's not technically his child- it's like a metaphor or like a - yeah basically yeah okay so- 'do not harm my child, because you need him, because without the Dark, there is no place for Light' and she says she promises not to harm the Dark and when day broke, she ran back to the temple, and he disappeared.

When she arrived she became a High Priestess because she ended up being able to summon like a teensy bit of her inner Light- but was still the only candidate able to do it at all- so she became the High Priestess. The High Priestesses had a meeting the day after her like, priestess coronation or whatever and apparently the Darkness was a reoccuring topic in their meetings. They believed that it was too much, that there were too few temples with priestesses of Light for the wild Dark and they had to illuminate the earth in order to stop it once and for all.

Because she made a promise to the Guardian, she said she couldn't do it- when the other High Priestesses asked her for her reason, she told them about her meeting with the Guardian and the promise she made. They bashed on her belief, saying that there was no such thing, and then they started to to question her- 'Did you really do your test with no help?' 'Was the lught you brought back really yours?' 'Do you even belong here?' and the girl who had wanted this position all her life didn't want to suddenly lose it, so decided to keep her mouth shut the rest of the time, following behind the elder High Priestesses and doing as they asked.

They sowed Light in all the earth, keeping the Dark at bay until it was collected in a small corner of their land. They planned on surrounding it and then eradicating it once and for all, when suddenly the Guardian appeared before the girl. He was still covered in stars, though this time not as many, and finding where the Dark ended and the Guardian began was very difficult. 'What have you done?' he asked her specifically, the other High Priestesses sort of in the back just looking in awe, 'You promised you wouldn't harm my child, do you understand what you've done?' and she tries to defend herself saying what the other High Priestesses drilled into her head about how they were getting rid of the Dark and therefore the Bad in the world, to which the Guardian told her to look around- 'People who thrive in the Dark are suffering- see those children who relied on Darkness to keep them safe in innocent thievery? They're going hungry because the Light isn't kind enough to let people turn a blind eye to them taking the food they need- if a person is Good enough to close their eyes, there will be another person to call them out on it. And not only the thieves but the simple people, too- like those lantern makers- the beauty of their lanterns is lost in the Light, which outdazzles whatever beauty has been printed on it.'

And so on and so forth the Guardian continued to point it out, and the girl looked around and noticed what she hadn't noticed before and she turned to the High Priestesses who had been listening this whole time. 'Go ahead' they told her before she said anything, 'Quit. But we'll still eradicate the Dark with or without you. And if you don't help out, we'll kick you out of your temple, strip you of your High Priestess title'. And she looked at the Guardian and the Dark and she quit.
Seconds after she did, the High Priestesses made the last of the Dark mass disappear, and the Guardian with it. The world was surrounded in Light, and at first it was beautiful and nice and no bad stuff happening, but the neverending light was sore to the eyes. Night never came, sceneries never changed, battles between Light and Dark that made pretty in between colours was but a memory that parents thought they'd have to describe to their children as fairytales.

But the girl wasn't just going to let that happen.

She prayed to the Light, to the Guardian and to the Dark, apologizing for not doing more than what she should have, for choosing herself over the rest of the world, and she told them that since she had her chance to be selfish, she would now give back to the world. So, on her own, on foot or sometimes on horseback, she would go around searching for the Lights that she placed herself, her inner Light that she placed around the world, and she would take it back inside her. When she took a Light away, what replaced it was the Dark, because there truly is no Light without Darkness, and the more she did this, the more the Dark grew, joining with one another and growing- she was like basically breeding the Dark

And she continued like this, walking around until the Dark was able enough to handle itself, to devour smaller Lights not controlled by priestesses, and when old age reached her, the girl gave herself up to the Darkness, enveloping herself within it and becoming a new Guardian."
